Literacy Online - Literacy
This major new addition to English Online will help you navigate
the National Literacy Strategy. During the year we shall be adding
exciting and detailed materials which provide the practical support
you need.
We have been fortunate to secure an experienced team who have undertaken
a pilot scheme. This means the resources really work and provide
the level of detail that you'll need in the classroom.
We know that you'll want to get your hands on these resources
as soon as possible, especially as the first section, 'Myself
and Other Animals', is intended as an introductory unit for
students starting secondary school. We are therefore adding the
resources to the site as soon as they come in without waiting for
the whole scheme - making them available first as files to download.
We shall add support materials and additional lessons as soon as
they are processed.
We also provide an introduction to the Framework
for Teaching English at Key Stage 3, which is part of the UK
National Literacy Strategy, and an outline
in an easy-to-use form that can be readily cut and pasted into
your own documents.
