Search
If you wish to search for a particular resource you can search the whole of English Online. Enter your search word or words in the box and click on the search button.
If you do not find any material with your first search, try a more general term (for example, if you fail to find anything on "journalism", try "newspapers").
You can search for more than one word at a time. You can say whether you want to look for all the words, any of them or use a Boolean expression. Boolean expressions are used to describe exactly what you are searching for. Normally, Boolean expressions use the terms and and or, but
parenthesis can also be used to group things together. For example:
Shakespeare and criticism;
(instruction or letters) and writing.
This method will not examine the contents of the downloadable files and talkboards on the site.
