A Level English Literature revision
This page contains materials from an A-Grades A Level Revision day organised by SEC Limited in London in March 2001. Students were provided with a handout summarising some of the key points for revision and some of these were dealt with in more detail during the session, together with a brief example of a good essay opening - and one to avoid!
The overhead slides used by Tom Rank to summarise his two talks are also provided; the versions here also contain a brief linking commentary. Obviously, a thirty-minute talk cannot cover everything students need to know about a text, so each talk concentrated on illustrating some approaches that will help students focus on the text.
Several of the documents are provided in both Word and PDF format. The PDF documents preserve the layout of the originals but are larger and will take longer to download. If you need the Acrobat Reader to view and print these files, please click on the link in the panel to the right.
A-Grades provide revision courses in a number of other A Level and GCSE subjects as well as courses for teachers.
